Through the University Relations Programme (URP), Reliance Developer Programme aims to provide a platform and act as a catalyst to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among the vast student talent pool in India.
For students who have innovative ideas and are keen to convert the same into workable mobile products and services to be used by millions of Indians, Reliance Developer Programme provides comprehensive support, technical assistance, training, product/service design inputs, project monitoring and direct contact programmes to help them productize their ideas and, most importantly, monetize the same.
Engineering / computer science students may develop mobile applications and services as part of their academic curriculum – final year project work - by working jointly with the Reliance Developer Programme team. On successful completion of the application development, all students will receive a certificate from Reliance Communications.
Students participating in application development project work under URP are expected to be proficient in JAVA or C++ and familiar with J2ME and/ or BREW.
Earn revenues…become young entrepreneurs!
URP Students not only gain valuable knowledge and skills through development of a carrier grade mobile application, but also get to monetize their innovation through a tripartite Revenue Share Agreement between Reliance Communications, students and respective Institutes, as their applications/services get used by millions of Reliance users. By making educational institutes a part of this incubation process, Reliance Developer Programme aims to foster product innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in the country, especially among the student community.
